Fall in love with a newly parenting couple, watch celebrity parents follow their kids’ love lives, learn acting chops from Kim Tae-ri and get swept up in the world of animation CJ ENM is delivering a packed lineup of entertainment this February with the New Year in full swing. A chaotic cohabitation romantic comedy unfolds in tvN’s new drama “Our Universe,” which premiered on February 4. Gen Z stars Bae In-hyuk and Roh Jeong-eui are thrown into an unexpected “co-parenting” arrangement when they suddenly find themselves guardians to their 20-month-old niece, Woo-joo. Fresh reality shows are also on the horizon. Kim Tae-ri makes her debut as a regular cast member in “Curtain Up, Class!,” set to premiere on February 22. Meanwhile, “When Our Kids Fall in Love” Season 2 arrives on February 25. Co-produced by tvN STORY and E Channel, this dating reality show features celebrity parents getting 200% invested in their children’s love lives. Animation fans have plenty to celebrate as well. The animated action blockbuster “Terror Man” made its exclusive debut on TVING on January 29. In theaters, the fantasy adventure “Shinbi’s Haunted House: 10th Anniversary Movie: One More Time, Summoning” has been captivating audiences nationwide since its release on January 14. A Chaotic Cohabitation Rom-Com: ‘Our Universe’ Starring: Bae In-hyuk, Roh Jeong-eui and Park Seo-ham tvN’s newest drama “Our Universe” is coming to the small screen. The series depicts a chaotic cohabitation rom-com that ensues when two in-laws who got off on the wrong foot from day one suddenly find themselves raising their 20-month-old niece, Woo-joo (or “universe” in Korean) together. Too close to be strangers yet too distant to be called “family,” the pair grows through the arrival of this new “universe” that crashes into their world, promising to deliver heart-fluttering excitement and heartwarming relatability. The released chaos-filled teaser captures the whirlwind arrival of niece Woo-joo, who drops into their lives without warning like a natural disaster, alongside her Aunt Hyun-jin (Roh Jeong-eui) and Uncle Tae-hyung (Bae In-hyuk). The story begins with a dark and stormy night, when the innocent troublemaker Woo-joo wreaks havoc throughout the house, leaving the two adults laughing in disbelief — and foreshadowing the extraordinary co-parenting journey ahead. Curiosity is mounting over the backstory of these in-laws who, suddenly thrust into the frantic world of childcare, must join forces to clear this “unexpected quest” in their lives. Blending cohabitation tropes, childcare chaos and a tangled love triangle, “Our Universe” is set to carry on tvN’s reputation as the home of hit rom-coms. The series premiered on February 4. A Classroom Like No Other: ‘Curtain Up, Class!’ Starring: Kim Tae-ri, Choi Hyun-wook, Kangnam and Code Kunst A one-of-a-kind after-school theater class opens its doors at a small rural elementary school for tvN’s new reality show, “Curtain Up, Class!,” set to air on February 22. Known for her versatility across genres, actress Kim Tae-ri makes her debut as a variety show cast member, stepping into the role of a drama teacher. Excitement is building before the show’s premiere thanks to a star-studded support team. Actor Choi Hyun-wook and entertainer Kangnam join as assistant teachers, while producer Code Kunst signs on as the drama club’s music director. Viewers are eager to see what touching moments and joy Kim Tae-ri — known for her deep dedication to her craft — will bring as “Teacher Taeri.” Anticipation is mounting for the unique theatrical stage she will build alongside her spirited students. Parents Get 200% Invested!: ‘When Our Kids Fall in Love’ Season 2 Starring: Kim Sung-joo, Lee Jong-hyuk and Yoon Hoo “When Our Kids Fall in Love,” which sparked a buzz last year with the blossoming romances of celebrity sons and daughters, returns for a second season. The show captures the raw reactions of parents watching their children fall in love — sharing in the butterflies, occasionally panicking, yet ultimately cheering them on more sincerely than anyone else. Season 2 promises even more honest and bold storytelling, featuring the pure, unfiltered romances of young singles still navigating the clumsy excitement of love. Kicking off the season as the first single is none other than Korea’s “national nephew,” Yoon Hoo. Once etched in the public’s memory as the adorable child from the hit family variety show “Dad! Where Are We Going?” a decade ago, he returns now all grown up as a young man in his twenties. The reunion adds another layer of excitement as Kim Sung-joo and Lee Jong-hyuk — who watched Yoon Hoo grow up first-hand — join as MCs. Blending the sweet fluttering of youthful romance with heartwarming family bonds, “When Our Kids Fall in Love” Season 2 premieres on February 25 on tvN STORY and E Channel. An Animated Action Blockbuster: ‘Terror Man’ Production: Studio Bazooka Marking the 10th anniversary of YLAB’s flagship hero franchise, “Super String Universe,” the TVING original animation “Terror Man” made its exclusive debut on January 29. The series is based on the hit webtoon of the same name. “Terror Man” follows the story of Jung-woo, a high school student with the supernatural ability to foresee misfortune. In a twist of fate, he adopts the persona of a “terrorist” to save lives and battle against a massive conspiracy. The series is helmed by director Eom Sang-yong, a recognized talent who won the Outstanding Animated Program award at the 75th Emmy Awards for “The Simpsons” special episode, “Treehouse of Horror XXXIII.” On the visual front, character design director Umehara Takahiro, known for his work as an episode director on the Netflix Original animations “PLUTO,” brings his expertise to the project. Together, this powerhouse team guarantees a level of visual perfection that fans can trust. The series is generating significant buzz with its star-studded voice cast, including Lee Kyung-tae, Jang Mi, Uhm Sang-hyun, Sim Gyoo-hyeok and Jeon Tae-yeol — industry veterans known for their roles in major hits like “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train,” “Maru Is a Puppy” and “The First Slam Dunk.” Adding to the excitement, ZEROBASEONE member Kim Tae-rae has lent his vocals to the opening theme song. An Animated Fantasy Adventure: ‘Shinbi’s Haunted House: 10th Anniversary Movie: One More Time, Summoning’ Since its debut in 2016, “The Haunted House” has shattered viewership records on Tooniverse, evolving into a massive multimedia franchise spanning musicals, games, web dramas and exhibitions. Now, in celebration of its 10th anniversary, the beloved series makes a grand return to the big screen with a new theatrical release. “Shinbi’s Haunted House: 10th Anniversary Movie: One More Time, Summoning” is an epic fantasy adventure featuring Shinbi, who has risen to global stardom, and Hari, now a twenty-year-old adult. Together, they battle the resurrected Underground Devil to save the world. Adding to the film’s buzz, Youngjae of the boy band TWS gives his voice to the original soundtrack. Since its release on January 14, the movie has surpassed 250,000 admissions, maintaining a near-perfect 99% rating on CGV’s audience satisfaction score — a testament to the enthusiastic response from moviegoers. The movie is currently enjoying a popular run in theaters nationwide.
