Fat Down, Korea’s first dietary supplement brand launched by CJ Wellcare, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Launched in 2002, Fat Down is a product that promotes a healthy diet  accompanied by exercise, unlike the existing notion of diet that relied only on weight loss. Its cumulative sales amount recorded 230 billion won ($163 mil), with the slogan ‘Fat Down Before Exercise’. Fat Down has developed a variety of different product types, including not only drinks and capsules, but also powder sticks, focusing on the convenience and portability of the product. In July, the company introduced Fat Down Booster Carnitine, which utilizes the company’s technical expertise that has been accumulated over 20 years through extensive research and development. The product seeks to target the premium diet supplement market. Fat Down Booster Carnitine is a premium diet product made with L-carnitine tartrate, a double functional ingredient approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. The product promotes increased absorption in the body in a short time, and consuming one bottle per day prior to exercise can help reduce body fat and also improve exercise-induced fatigue.
