From returning favorites to all-new shows, CJ ENM has something for all viewers this spring As spring settles in, CJ ENM is rolling out a new lineup of content. This April, romance takes center stage. The TVING original “Yumi’s Cells” returned for Season 3 on April 13, with Kim Go-eun reprising her role as Yumi, now a successful writer three years into her career, and Kim Jae-won joining the cast as Soon-rok in a new cell-stirring romance. Later in the month, tvN’s “Filing for Love” premieres on April 25, pairing Shin Hye-sun and Gong Myoung in a tense office romance with a comic twist. A range of variety shows also rounds out the April lineup. tvN’s “Fresh Off the Sea in Calape,” the first overseas spin-off of “Fresh Off the Sea,” premiered on April 16, following its cast to the Philippines in search of local ingredients. “Six Singles Under One Roof,” a reality series about six singles of the same age living together, premiered on April 10. tvN STORY’s “Intern Babysitters,” which premiered on April 9, follows veteran entertainer Lee Kyung-kyu and soccer legend Ahn Jung-hwan as they step into the formidable world of childcare. Rounding out the lineup are “The K,” a documentary exploring the forces behind the global K-content phenomenon, and “Ensemble,” a real-life documentary following musical director Kim Moon-jeong and 31 multicultural children from 17 countries as they come together to form a global children’s choir. “The K” aired on tvN on April 7 and 8, while “Ensemble” premiered on April 14. A Heart-Fluttering Romance: ‘Yumi’s Cells’ Season 3 Starring: Kim Go-eun and Kim Jae-won One of TVING’s most beloved originals returned for a new season after three years with a new love story. In “Yumi’s Cells” Season 3, Yumi has become a successful writer, but her quiet routine is upended by the sudden arrival of Soon-rok, setting off another cell-stirring romance filled with laughter, tears and love. The teaser shows Yumi (Kim Go-eun) and Soon-rok (Kim Jae-won) meeting for the first time. Soon-rok quickly gets on Yumi’s nerves with his offbeat behavior — from his deadpan response, “Don’t Maltese dogs eat their own poo?” after she insists that Maltese dogs are smart to the fact that he puts in his earbuds while riding the bus with her. But the mood shifts when Soon-rok flashes a bright smile and gently tells her, “You were amazing.” His unexpected warmth catches Yumi off guard, and her heart begins to flutter. “It’s been so long since I’ve felt this way. It feels like my heart is softening again,” she tells us, hinting at the romance set to unfold between the two leads. With Kim Go-eun returning as Yumi alongside rising actor Kim Jae-won, “Yumi’s Cells” Season 3 is already building strong anticipation among K-drama fans. The series premiered on TVING on April 13. A Close-Quarters Office Romance: ‘Filing for Love’ Starring: Shin Hye-sun, Gong Myoung, Kim Jae-wook and Hong Hwa-yeon tvN’s new drama “Filing for Love” premieres on April 25, centering on Ju In-a (Shin Hye-sun), a charismatic audit director with secrets of her own, and No Gi-jun (Gong Myoung), an ace auditor suddenly reassigned to a team that investigates workplace misconduct. The series blends comedy, emotional heart and office intrigue as the team sets out to uncover scandals hidden across the company. The teaser opens on Gi-jun looking completely worn down under his nightmare boss, In-a. Pushed to his limit by her iron grip on the office, he vows to strike back, declaring that he has finally found the card that could bring her down. But the mood shifts in a flash. Carrying a drunken Gi-jun on her back, In-a warns, “You’ll pay for this,” and the charged moments between them signal the beginning of a romantic connection between the two. As workplace scrutiny gives way to romance, “Filing for Love” is emerging as one of April’s most intriguing new dramas. Across the Sea for Fresh Ingredients: ‘Fresh Off the Sea in Calape’ Starring: Yum Jung-ah, Park Jun-myun, Dex and Kim Hye-yoon Known for its seaside settings, seasonal meals and easygoing charm, “Fresh Off the Sea” heads to the Philippines for its first overseas spin-off.  In “Fresh Off the Sea in Calape,” the show’s four “siblings” set out in search of ingredients bursting with tropical flavor. Original cast members Yum Jung-ah, Park Jun-myun and Dex return, joined by Kim Hye-yoon, whose arrival adds a fresh dynamic to the group. The teaser sees the four cast members dropped into the middle of a mangrove wetland, where they become caked in mud and are visibly overwhelmed. As they groan, “Don’t ever come back here” and “This is not it,” the preview hints at the grueling work still to come. “Fresh Off the Sea in Calape” premiered on tvN on April 16. A Roommate Reality Show: ‘Six Singles Under One Roof’ Starring: Jang Do-yeon, Lee Da-hee, Choi Daniel, Jang Keun-suk, Ahn Jae-hyun and Gyeong Su-jin “Six Singles Under One Roof” premiered on tvN on April 10 as a reality series following six strong-willed singles of the same age who have spent years living on their own. Now gathered under one roof, they reveal a day-to-day life in which every moment feels straight out of a sitcom. The teaser offers a glimpse of the unfiltered everyday lives of six close friends living under one roof, with no hint of romance in sight. With Jang Do-yeon’s sharp wit, Lee Da-hee’s lively energy, Choi Daniel’s free-spirited charm, Jang Keun-suk’s playful side, Ahn Jae-hyun’s “female-lead” aura and Gyeong Su-jin’s bright energy, each cast member brings a distinct personality to the mix. Two Future Grandfathers Take on Babysitting: ‘Intern Babysitters’ Starring: Lee Kyung-kyu and Ahn Jung-hwan tvN STORY’s new variety show “Intern Babysitters” follows veteran entertainer Lee Kyung-kyu and soccer legend Ahn Jung-hwan as the two future grandfathers spend the full day caring for babies. From changing diapers and feeding them to helping them fall asleep and calming them when they cry, the show captures both the chaos and warmth of the world of childcare. “Intern Babysitters” premiered on April 9, bringing a mix of comedy, nerves and elbow grease to April’s variety lineup. What’s Behind the Global K-Content Phenomenon: ‘The K’ Starring: Lee Jung-jae, Lee Jun-ho, Lim Yoon-a, Yim Si-wan, Byeon Woo-seok   What lies behind the K-content phenomenon that’s captivated audiences around the world, and what defines its true essence? tvN’s two-part documentary “The K,” which aired on April 7 and 8, sets out to answer those questions. As South Korea’s first interview-driven voice documentary, the series unfolds its narrative through questions and answers alone. Through the diverse perspectives and in-depth insights of professionals working across the K-content industry, “The K” offers a new lens through which to view the phenomenon and the forces behind its global rise. A Global Children’s Choir: ‘Ensemble’ Starring: Kim Moon-jeong, Chae Mi-hyeon and Boom Real-life documentary “Ensemble” premiered on April 14, tracing the formation and extraordinary journey of a global children’s choir. The program brings together 31 children from 17 countries who are able to connect despite their different cultures, languages and backgrounds. The documentary shows how differences can bring people together rather than divide them. Guiding the children are musical director Kim Moon-jeong and director Chae Mi-hyeon, known for “Anna Karenina” and “Phantom.” Balancing charismatic direction with warm leadership, they help the children grow as they learn to come together as one shared voice. With children from different backgrounds learning to sing as one, “Ensemble” is already drawing interest from viewers.
