As the leaves begin to change and a chill enters the air, it’s apparent that fall is here. During this seasonal change, many people find themselves staying indoors and cozying up on the couch to enjoy some autumnal entertainment. With holidays such as Halloween also bringing families together, there’s no better time to watch some Korean spooky, supernatural shows and enjoy some shudder-inducing content.  CJ ENM’s production powerhouse Studio Dragon has created and produced a variety of shows that are bound to send shivers up your spine and keep you on the edge of your seat. CJ Newsroom has selected three spooky shows to watch this fall. Hotel del Luna “Hotel del Luna” is a drama about a supernatural hotel that caters to a unique clientele: ghosts. The visitors and staff of the hotel are spirits who have unfinished business that prevents them from moving on to the afterlife. Jang Man-Wol (IU), the hotel’s owner, is bound to the hotel due to a grave sin she committed in the past. Gu Chan-Sung (Yeo Jin-Goo), who through a series of events is sentenced to work at the hotel for 20 years, helps Man-Wol run the hotel and provide top notch service to its ghastly guests.  Experience the wonderous world of ghosts in this mysterious hotel through this playful yet dark fantastical drama. Included on Business Insider’s “6 Korean TV shows to binge-watch after finishing ‘Squid Game’ on Netflix” list, “Hotel del Luna” is a must-watch for anyone looking for a lighthearted show this fall.  Happiness Set in the near future, “Happiness” is a fast-paced drama following a group of individuals faced with combatting an infectious disease outbreak. After a drug treatment called “Next” goes wrong, the disease spreads and causes victims to thirst for blood and drives them to insanity. As they struggle to survive, the residents begin to distrust each other. Despite this, they must work together to face the disease head on.  Starring Han Hyo-Joo as Officer Yoon Sae-Bom and Park Hyung-Sik as Detective Jung Yi-Hyun, “Happiness” offers a thought-provoking spin on a dystopian thriller.   Sweet Home Cha Hyun-Soo, a reclusive high-school student, discovers one day that his family has died in a mysterious car accident. After being forced to leave home, he moves into an apartment and is met with a new reality where monsters roam freely. Faced with the challenge of surviving in this new world, Cha Hyun-Soo must lead the residents of the apartment building to take down the monsters, in a fierce battle of life or death.  Directed by Lee Eung-Bok, best known for his work on the hit dramas “Descendants of the Sun” as well as “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,” “Sweet Home” showcases a heart-pumping storyline in an apocalyptic universe. The show has also recently been renewed for two more seasons, making now the best time to catch up before the next seasons air. From action-packed thrillers to sweet romances and heart-pumping mysteries, Studio Dragon is dedicated to creating content for all audiences to enjoy. While fall is in full swing, CJ will continue to make content that global audiences can enjoy at any time of year. All three titles mentioned above are available on Netflix, so switch on the TV and settle in for some dark, spooky nights.
