Kai Trump — influencer, golfer, granddaughter of the U.S. president — will vlog her experience at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson in Texas
Kai Madison Trump (18), the eldest granddaughter of the U.S. President and a rising golf talent, is planning to attend the THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson. The tournament will take place from May 1 to 4 at TPC Craig Ranch in Dallas, Texas. “Hey guys, huge news. I’m going to THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson in Texas, and I couldn’t be more excited,” Kai shared via Instagram Reels on April 24. “I’ll be vlogging my whole experience there. We’re going to be showing golf, Korean culture, amazing Korean food and more. It’s going to be so much fun.”

Kai, a Gen Z influencer, boasts 1.7 million Instagram followers and 1.1 million YouTube subscribers.
Known on Instagram as @kaitrumpgolfer, Kai is set to attend the University of Miami this fall on a golf scholarship. She recently joined Team TaylorMade, which includes golf legends like Tiger Woods. Kai has claimed championship titles at both the Women’s and Ladies Club Championships held in Palm Beach. Her grandfather, President Trump, is an avid golfer himself and is said to enjoy spending weekends on the course with her.
As a member of Gen Z, Kai is known for her strong interest in K-culture. This year, the tournament will feature the HOUSE OF CJ, an immersive space showcasing various aspects of K-culture. In addition to the mini bibigo concession stands, visitors will be able to explore a range of activities representing K-food, K-beauty and K-entertainment, including an Olive Young pop-up, a CJ ENM music zone, an immersive content experience with SCREENX and fresh samples from the TOUS les JOURS bakery.
Kai is said to be particularly excited about meeting world No.1 golfer Scottie Scheffler at THE CJ CUP. The tournament is part of the PGA Tour regular season and has been sponsored by CJ Group for the past two decades since last year. This year, a total of 156 top-ranked golfers, including CJ-affiliated players like Im Sung-jae and Kim Si-woo, are expected to compete in the tournament. Rory McIlroy, who recently achieved a career grand slam, previously won THE CJ CUP in both 2021 and 2022.

The tournament serves as an opportunity for CJ Group to promote K-culture and K-food globally. “The Korean dishes at THE CJ CUP were the most memorable,” Scottie Scheffler stated after visiting bibigo Kitchen during the 2022 tournament. “The mandu and other dishes provided to the players were outstanding.”
Last year’s champion, Taylor Pendrith, praised the event’s dining experience as well. “The Players’ Dining was absolutely perfect — probably the best meal all year,” he shared. “It felt like a homemade meal, and it was incredibly delicious.”
“THE CJ CUP is more than just a golf tournament; it’s an important platform to showcase K-food and K-culture globally,” a CJ Group representative highlighted. “With the introduction of the HOUSE OF CJ, we expect Korean culture and content to gain even wider international recognition. Kai’s confirmed attendance will further enhance this opportunity, promoting the excellence of K-culture to Gen Zs worldwide and beyond.”
