CJ Foodville is making significant strides in expanding its Tous les Jours business in the United States. CJ Foodville has recently confirmed its investment plan to establish a factory in the United States and has now finalized the location for the factory in Georgia. The new factory aligns with its goal to reach 1,000 Tous les Jours stores in the United States by 2030. The company plans to invest more than $45 million in Gainesville, Georgia, northeast of Atlanta, to build a 969,000 square foot production facility. Construction is set to begin at the end of this year and will be completed by 2025. The factory is expected to have an annual production capacity of more than 100 million units of frozen bread and cakes. Once production commences, it will serve as a pivotal production hub for the expanding network of Tous les Jours franchise stores in North America. CJ Foodville considered several potential factory sites in the southeastern U.S. and ultimately chose Georgia. Georgia’s business-friendly environment and proactive approach, including a visit from the state’s governor himself, were key factors in the selection process. Georgia is highly regarded for its excellent market accessibility across the entire U.S.  and boasts a concentration of more than 330 global manufacturing and food companies in its industrial complexes. The new factory is expected to create 300 jobs. CJ Foodville entered the U.S. market in 2004 with the Tous les Jours brand, marking its first overseas venture. Starting its franchise business in 2009, CJ Foodville achieved a significant milestone in 2018 by becoming the first among CJ Foodville’s overseas subsidiaries to turn a profit. The company has maintained profitability for the last five consecutive years. Currently, CJ Foodville operates 100 stores in key commercial areas across 26 states, including California, New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. The company aims to increase the number of U.S. Tous les Jours stores to 120 by the end of this year and has set a target of more than 1,000 stores in the U.S. by 2030, solidifying its position as a global food and beverage company. To achieve this goal, CJ Foodville plans to dispatch top talent from South Korea overseas to nurture them into global experts. Many experienced employees from South Korea are already stationed in overseas locations, including the U.S., as the global bakery business flourishes. With the establishment of this new factory, CJ Foodville plans to send additional top personnel abroad, positioning them as key contributors to the growth of the K-Bakery. A spokesperson for CJ Foodville said: “Building on a strong foundation of profitability, we have decided to establish a U.S. factory to enhance our production and supply capacity in response to the expanding scale of the Tous les Jours business in the U.S. Leveraging our outstanding product quality in various bread and cakes, we aim to establish Tous les Jours as a globally beloved bakery brand, transcending borders and winning the hearts of consumers worldwide.”
