CJ announced today that it has developed and introduced Korea’s first artificial intelligence (AI) marketing copy generator in the industry that automatically generates compelling marketing copy based on different customer personality types.  One of the key features of the AI copy generator is its ability to recognize and adapt to different customer personality types. It emphasizes conversational and metaphorical expression phrases for customers who possess utopian thinking and emotional tendencies. For those with realistic and rational tendencies, the AI suggests phrases that highlight the effectiveness of products and quantified information. The CJ AI Center, which developed the copywriter, aims to advance the AI system through big data learning in various categories, including food, beauty, fashion and entertainment. It will also use additional customer personality analysis and automatic learning that reflects user feedback to improve the tool. Beyond this, the center will work on different functions for the copywriter based on different marketing channels. This will allow it to specialize in areas such as app push notifications, mobile messaging and emails, with compatibility for new languages being gradually introduced for wider use in global marketing in the future. CJ expects that the AI copywriter will allow its employees to work more efficiently, supporting creative work and reducing the amount of time spent on tasks, leading to overall performance improvements.  During the development phase, tests were run using actual marketing promotions involving 50,000 customers. These tests found that the customer response rate increased by an average of 30% when using the AI copywriter. “CJ works with big data reflecting numerous experiences and tastes in various business areas, including shopping, logistics and entertainment content,” said Lee Chi-hoon, CJ Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and head of the CJ AI Center. “We plan to leverage this data to create a smarter AI model and provide expanded training to our employees, enabling them to employ AI technology with greater efficiency in their job tasks.”
