Celebrating a New Era in Synergistic Content Partnership Between CJ ENM and Fifth Season On September 8, CJ ENM’s global production studio, Endeavor Content, officially rebranded itself as Fifth Season. This rebranding marks the successful acquisition of the studio by CJ ENM and celebrates the start of a promising partnership between two big industry names. It also marks the evolution of Fifth Season itself, which has emerged from an agency within the larger parent company, Endeavor Group, into a fully-fledged global production studio. The name of the studio is taken from what is, in some parts of the world, known as the “fifth season” of the year, during which people celebrate the late summer harvests. With Endeavor Content’s new name, CJ ENM aims to imbue the next stage of the studio’s journey with these connotations of productiveness and positivity. For CJ ENM, Fifth Season will help the company further strengthen its global content production capabilities and continue to establish an adaptable multi-studio system. Fifth Season has global hubs all around the world, including Europe and South America. It has its own production system, designed to accommodate everything from planning to production to the distribution of a diverse range of content. Fifth Season provides more than 30 films and drama offerings a year, with projects worth more than one billion USD set for next year alone. Through its partnership with Fifth Season, CJ ENM plans to produce and distribute its content more widely in the U.S., with the subsidiary providing the bedrock for this growth. Fifth Season has been producing a number of notable TV series, including <Severance>, for example, which was nominated in 14 categories at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards. It also produces Jason Momoa’s popular <See> as an Apple TV+ exclusive. Fifth Season supplies a variety of other content, including <Tokyo Vice> and <Secrets from a Marriage>, to major global over-the-top (OTT) companies, such as HBO Max, Netflix, Peacock and Hulu.  The company is also highly experienced in feature film production. It produced <The Lost Daughter>, directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, which has been nominated for three Academy Awards. It also produced <Ambulance>, directed by Michael Bay, <Just Mercy>, directed by Destin Cretin and <Cha Cha Real Smooth>, which won the Audience Award at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. Fifth Season is currently hard at work preparing for its upcoming seasons, including those for <Severance> and <See>, and is taking the steps for the releases of the Nathalie Portman-starring <Lady in the Lake> (Apple TV+) and <The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart> (Amazon Prime), as well as <Eileen>, starring Anne Hathaway.
