TVING’s hit K-drama “Yumi’s Cells” returns for Season 3 on April 13 through the TVING Collection Global poster for “Yumi’s Cells” TVING, Korea’s leading content hub, announced that Season 3 of its original series “Yumi’s Cells” will premiere on April 13. The show will launch simultaneously on HBO Max across 17 Asia-Pacific markets and on Disney+ in Japan through the TVING Collection. “Yumi’s Cells” is one of TVING’s originals and the first Korean series to combine live action and 3D animation. Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, the K-drama has been a major draw for both subscribers and viewers since its debut. With each season, it has built a loyal fan base and established itself as one of TVING’s flagship original titles. In the new season, Kim Go-eun returns as Yumi, now a successful writer three years into her career, who sees her quiet routine upended when an unexpected figure enters her life, setting off another relatable romance filled with laughter, tears and love. Kim Jae-won joins the cast this season, while the return of the original production team has heightened anticipation among viewers in South Korea and around the world. Through branded hubs on global streaming platforms, TVING is cementing its position as a direct pipeline between international audiences and Korean content. Alongside exclusive TVING originals, it also curates popular titles from leading Korean broadcasters including tvN, JTBC and MBC. TVING’s first international release, “Dear X,” reached No. 1 in 108 countries on Rakuten Viki. Since then, the platform has continued to broaden the reach of both its originals and broadcast content. “Yumi’s Cells” Season 3 on TVING’s dedicated hub TVING is also expanding the viewing experience for audiences in Korea ahead of the global premiere. On March 23, the platform opened a special “Yumi’s Cells” hub, where viewers can revisit the full series in one place. The hub features full episodes from Seasons 1 and 2, short-form videos and exclusive cast clips, offering a richer viewing experience as the series returns after three years. The first two seasons will also re-air on tvN and tvN DRAMA, along with a special highlights program. “TVING’s global expansion is significant because it reflects a direct distribution model that brings K-content straight to viewers around the world,” a TVING representative said. “With “Yumi’s Cells” Season 3, we intend to showcase the global potential of TVING originals.” “Yumi’s Cells” Season 3 will debut on TVING on April 13, with two new episodes released each week.
