Korean films and dramas will now be available to a wider global audience through the strategic partnership between the two content giants

CJ ENM has signed a strategic partnership with global streaming platform Amazon Prime Video, opening a new distribution channel to deliver K-content to audiences around the world.
Marking the 30th anniversary of its cultural content business this year, CJ ENM has declared 2025 as the “year of global acceleration.” Beginning in June 2025, the company plans to provide a wide range of content IPs — including both popular existing hits and new releases — to global viewers through Amazon Prime Video, which boasts approximately 200 million subscribers worldwide.
The partnership was officially announced on May 3 at the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 in Mumbai, India. Under the agreement, Amazon Prime Video will exclusively stream popular titles from Studio Dragon and CJ ENM Studios. These include upcoming “Head Over Heels”, starring Choo Young-woo and Cho Yi-hyun and set to premiere on tvN in June, as well as beloved titles such as “Another Miss Oh,” “Her Private Life” and “Mouse.” These series, featuring both rising stars and globally famous actors, will be available in over 240 countries and territories worldwide (excluding Korea and China), with subtitles in 28 languages and dubbing in 11, further strengthening the global content business of both companies.
CJ ENM dramas have proven their competitiveness by achieving remarkable success on Amazon Prime Video. In 2024, “Marry My Husband” and “No Gain, No Love” both sparked a global sensation, ranking 7th and 8th among the most-watched non-English content on the entire platform, setting new viewership records.
Gaurav Gandhi, vice president, APAC & MENA, Prime Video commented, “As Korean content continues to find massive audiences worldwide, we’re thrilled to bring these captivating narratives exclusively to our worldwide audiences. Our strategic collaboration with CJ ENM marks a new chapter in this journey, giving Prime members front-row access to some of the most compelling and innovative content from Korea.”
Jangho Seo, Executive Vice President of CJ ENM’s content business division said, “Through Prime Video’s extensive global reach and strong commitment to multi-language subtitles and dubbing strategies, we are excited to make our upcoming titles even more accessible and enjoyable for audiences across cultures and languages. This collaboration not only strengthens CJ ENM’s global footprint but also reflects our shared vision with Prime Video to deliver captivating stories to fans worldwide.”
As CJ ENM celebrates its 30th anniversary, the global IP powerhouse is committed to elevating the global reach and impact of K-content. CJ ENM will continue its path as the “K-content visionary,” enhancing the value of its one-of-a-kind (ONLYONE) IPs and captivating global audiences.
