 CJ Foods accelerates its global expansion with its featured appearance in the second season of tvN’s hit series “Jinny’s Kitchen” CJ Foods bibigo Cup Tteokbokki in three different flavors CJ Foods announced that sales of its bibigo Tteokbokki increased by two and a half times in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter. The significant increase was largely due to the product’s expanded exports, which grew from 29 to 41 countries, including the U.S., Vietnam, Australia, several European countries and various South American countries.  CJ Foods launched the bibigo Tteokbokki in three flavors: Sweet & Spicy, Hot & Spicy and Cheese, in June last year as the debut product in its K-Street Food portfolio. The product features bite-sized, chewy rice cakes with a sauce that has a rich, spicy kick balanced with sweetness, all housed in a cup, making it convenient to enjoy this iconic Korean street food. As Korean street food gains popularity across Europe, bibigo’s Tteokbokki is setting taste buds ablaze. This growth has been further boosted by its feature in the 9th episode of tvN’s hit series “Jinny’s Kitchen Season 2,” the cast opened the first Korean restaurant in Iceland’s capital city and enjoyed bibigo Cup Tteokbokki during their break. The product is now available across Europe, including Iceland, where the show was originally filmed. CJ Foods plans to boost bibigo Tteokbokki sales by expanding its distribution channels from Asian markets and online stores to major mainstream retailers in key countries worldwide.
