Following last year’s <Twenty Five Twenty One,> this year’s <The Glory> <The Glory> Sweeps Global Awards throughout the Year Studio Dragon, a premium storyteller group, has once again been recognized for their outstanding work in the field of drama production by winning the Best Drama Series award at the 2023 Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA) for the second consecutive year. Studio Dragon has earned Best Drama Series award at the 2023 AACA held in Singapore on the 7th for their Netflix series <The Glory>. This marks the second consecutive year that Studio Dragon has clinched the Best Drama Series award, having won it last year with <Twenty Five Twenty One> at the 2022 AACA. <The Glory> is a Netflix series about a woman whose soul is shattered by childhood violence and who spends her life plotting a devastating revenge, and the people who get caught up in the maelstrom. It was a huge hit with its distinctive characters and gripping story. It was one of the Global Top 10 non-English TV series on Netflix for a total of 13 weeks when it was released, making it one of the most popular K-dramas in the world. At this year’s AACA, <The Glory> not only won the Best Drama Series award but also secured the Best Actress in a Supporting Role, achieving a total of two awards. Earlier in April, <The Glory> had also received the Best Drama award at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards. Additionally, the series was nominated for Best Foreign Language Series at the 29th Critics’ Choice Awards organized by the Critics’ Choice Association (CCA), further garnering attention globally. The AACA, held annually in December in Singapore, is the largest content awards ceremony in Asia that reviews and awards outstanding works in the Asian content market. Entries from 17 countries across Asia-Pacific, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, are rigorously judged and only one entry per country is nominated per category. Studio Dragon, securing two wins this year, had previously swept major categories last year’s AACA, winning Best Drama Series for <Twenty Five Twenty One,> Best Screenplay for <Our Blues,> and Best Original Production by a Streamer/OTT for <Yumi’s Cells.>
