By joining forces, the two companies have combined Disney’s globally recognized brand and platform with TVING’s leadership in K-content to offer richer viewing experiences. This partnership marks a significant step in TVING’s journey to bring Korean storytelling to a broader global audience, while opening the door to future strategic initiatives between the two companies. From TVING originals to CJ ENM’s biggest hits, an impressive lineup will be released sequentially. As TVING expands its global presence, this move is expected to further accelerate the international reach of Korean creators and production companies. To mark its global expansion, TVING premiered its original series “Dear X” and achieved remarkable success following its international debut. Released exclusively on Disney+ in Japan on November 6, the series quickly climbed to third place in the platform’s viewership rankings. Launched across multiple Asia-Pacific regions through HBO Max, “Dear X” topped the HBO Max TV show category in seven key markets — including Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines and Taiwan — according to global streaming ranking platform FlixPatrol. The series also ranked third on the U.S. streaming platform Viki, solidifying its status as a breakout global hit. TVING CEO Julie Choi said, “Our partnership with Disney, a company with an influential presence and long-standing history in Japan, presents the most effective opportunity to introduce TVING’s content to local audiences.
