Mnet has launched its new mobile application Mnet Plus, a K-POP Culture Platform that provides new opportunities for global users to experience K-pop content. Mnet has launched its new mobile application Mnet Plus, a K-POP Culture Platform. Mnet Plus is a communication platform that provides new opportunities for global users to experience K-pop content as K-pop’s influence expands around the world. It supports four languages — Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese — and enables users to create and enjoy content intellectual properties (IP) together as well as experience the K-pop lifestyle and culture. The application is available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store in all countries around the world excluding China. The service launched its beta service in April and has already attracted five million subscribers by opening a global fan voting system on a variety of topics. A live streaming function was also provided through PC and mobile web pages, creating a ground for connection and unity within the fandom. Users around the world can experience new types of fan interaction using Mnet Plus. The application features a variety of content including CJ ENM’s K-pop content library, Mnet Plus’ original IP, Mnet’s music content, KCON-led festivals and live performances by musicians. In particular, “KPOP MAKER” and “Road to Max” are original contents that can only be seen on Mnet Plus. Through “KPOP MAKER,” fans can directly participate in the process of discovering an artist, from casting to stage production, and can see the final results at the end. “Road to Max” is ‘fanteractive’ (combination of the words ‘fan’ and ‘interactive’) content that gives artists who have had few opportunities to perform on stage a chance to be on one of Mnet’s well-known performance shows, such as “M Countdown.”  In addition to original content, users can enjoy a wide range of services including broadcasting programs, artist and celebrity fan communities and live programming. More than 60 communities, including programs currently on air or scheduled to be broadcast, such as M Countdown, Street Man Fighter, Artistock Game and Show Me the Money 11, and artists such as TEMPEST, TNX and DKZ, are creating original content for Mnet Plus. Additional functions that enable enhanced user experience on the platform include the voting functionality for communities in the Mnet universe such as “M Countdown”, and the “Artistock Coin”, an in-game currency used to purchase virtual stocks in “Artistock Game” which was first released on October 3.  ※Appendix : Introduction of Mnet Plus Original Content <KPOP Maker> “KPOP Maker” is a program that displays the entire process of forming and debuting K-pop groups, including casting, recording a debut album, the stage production of artists’ shows and performances and more. Fans can participate in the process and view the final results at the end. In season one, which is currently underway, K-pop fans can plan their own fan meetings under the theme of ‘Meet You’. Fans can subscribe to a total of four artists’ Fantrie accounts (a platform that connects creators and fans) including EPEX, YOUNGITE, TEMPEST and TNX. Over the course of seven weeks, fans will carry out various missions and attend fan meetings organized based on the results of the program, with the fans’ opinions reflected through the upcoming content. <Road to Max> “Road to Max” is fanteractive content that provides artists who have had few opportunities to perform on stage since their debut. Under the concept of ‘Seeing My Favorite Artist on Mnet’s Stage,’ artists will be able to perform on stage on Mnet’s popular programs and events, including “M Countdown,” KCON and MAMA.
