CJ Olive Young, Korea’s leading beauty and wellness retailer, has launched a new CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative called “ME:RACLE”—a campaign dedicated to supporting youth transitioning to independence through beauty career training and community support programs. Rooted in the company’s brand philosophy “All Live Young,” ME:RACLE represents the idea that change begins with “me,” creating a ripple effect of positive miracles in the world. The campaign focuses on empowering young adults leaving protective care by leveraging Olive Young’s expertise and infrastructure in the K-beauty and wellness industry, providing education, employment training, and daily support. From October 22 to November 5, Olive Young will recruit 50 participants for “My First ME:RACLE,” a five-month beauty career training program starting in December. The curriculum supports obtaining makeup specialist certification through courses at beauty academies, along with hands-on training and mentorship from beauty consultants at Olive Young flagship stores. Guest lectures by professional makeup artists will also be held, and top-performing graduates will be offered an overseas field trip opportunity. Since 2016, Olive Young has continuously supported the wellbeing and dignity of young individuals through similar donation campaigns. Beyond Korea, Olive Young continues to expand its social responsibility efforts globally. Since 2014, in partnership with UNESCO and the CJ Welfare Foundation, the company has joined the “Girls’ Education Campaign” to improve educational access for girls in developing regions, including Vietnam, Tanzania, and Nigeria.
