Running from June 21 to July 12, the summer culture festival offers Vietnamese visitors an exciting three-week lineup of all things K-food, K-films, K-sports, K-pop, and more
CJ Group is hosting its signature Korean culture festival, “CJ K FESTA,” across Vietnam for three weeks, from June 21 to July 12. Entering its second year, CJ K FESTA is a comprehensive cultural event designed to showcase the dynamism of Korea to Vietnamese attendees through a wide range of K-culture content, including sports, food, and film.
CJ K FESTA is divided into three themed weeks: Sports Week (June 21-28), Food Week (June 21-July 12), and Movie Week (July 6-12). Each week features an exciting line-up of events tailored to the theme, offering Vietnamese audiences an immersive and wide-ranging experience of all things Korea.
Throughout the summer festival, CJ rolls out a wide range of exciting events across Vietnam. Shoppers at supermarkets and retail outlets nationwide can enjoy discounts of up to 33% on major CJ affiliate brands such as bibigo, Cau Tre, TOUS les JOURS, CGV and Meat Master. In addition, customers who spend over 150,000 VND (approximately 6 USD) will have a chance to enter a prize draw. A total of 28 winners will be selected to receive grand prizes, including a trip to South Korea, electric scooters, premium smartphones and a one-year CGV movie pass — all part of a major “Big Bang” promotion.
During “Sports Week,” CJ hosted a special program in partnership with Vietnamese Taekwondo, for which it has been a dedicated sponsor for 13 years since 2012. The highlight was the 5th annual 2025 CJ National Youth Taekwondo Championship that took place from June 21 to June 25 at the Go Vap Sports Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Approximately 1,300 young participants representing 47 provinces across Vietnam competed in the event. Notably, this was the only nationwide youth taekwondo tournament in Vietnam to be sponsored by an international company, with the inaugural championship having been held in Lào Cai in 2019.
From June 27 to 28, Vietnam will host the 2025 CJ Vietnam Open, its first-ever international taekwondo tournament sponsored by CJ. Approximately 100 athletes from 12 countries, including South Korea, India, Brazil, Japan and the United Arab Emirates, have registered to compete in matches spanning eight weight classes for both men and women. This newly launched event is garnering attention as a prime opportunity for young athletes to gain real-world competitive experience ahead of major tournaments such as the Asian Games and the Olympics. All matches will be broadcast live on FPT Play, Vietnam’s most popular streaming platform.
CJ K FESTA, together with its CJ-sponsored taekwondo tournaments, has established itself as an annual celebration in which Vietnamese attendees can fully immerse themselves in K-culture. With the participation of all CJ brands operating in Vietnam, the festival has become a standout event that showcases the richness of Korean culture. Through a diverse lineup of programs, CJ K FESTA is expected to play a key role in giving local consumers authentic experiences of K-food, K-movies, K-sports, and much more.
“CJ K FESTA is a large-scale Korean Wave festival based on the brand experience we’ve built and the trust we’ve earned from customers in Vietnam,” a CJ Group marketing representative stated. “By engaging Vietnamese audiences more deeply through diverse K-culture content such as sports, food, and film, we aim to foster meaningful connections and present a new model for cultural exchange between Korea and Vietnam.”
