CJ CheilJedang and CJ Foodville have also delivered thousands of food products to the regions affected by flooding throughout South Korea

On July 22, CJ Group announced a donation of 500 million KRW (approximately 360,000 USD) in relief funds to support those affected by the recent torrential rains across South Korea.
South Korea has been grappling with record-breaking rainfall since mid-July, triggering widespread flooding and landslides across the country, where homes were submerged, roads were cut off, and over a thousand residents were evacuated.
In response, the donation will be delivered through the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association and will be used to support the recovery of flood-affected areas, provide emergency supplies for displaced residents, and secure temporary housing facilities.
CJ affiliates are also extending support through the provision of emergency goods and services. CJ CheilJedang will supply around 10,000 products to communities impacted by the disaster — including Hetbahn, bibigo soup-based home meal replacements (HMR), and snacks such as Matbam (roasted chestnuts).
Since July 18, CJ Foodville has delivered 7,600 TOUS les JOURS baked goods and beverages to heavily impacted areas such as Dangjin, Asan and Yesan in South Chungcheong Province, as well as Sancheong in South Gyeongsang Province. Volunteer teams composed of CJ Foodville employees have also joined on-site support efforts.
“We extend our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the unexpected torrential rains,” a CJ representative stated. “We hope that our support can offer even a small measure of help in the swift recovery and return to normalcy.”
