CJ ENM rounds out the summer with new dramas “My Bias, My Boss” and “Four Hands, Two Sonatas,” alongside the return of “Fresh off the Sea” Season 3 and the premiere of Mnet’s “Street World Fighter: Directors’ War” This August, CJ ENM is set to bring summer to a dazzling close with a new slate of content. First up, tvN’s “My Bias, My Boss” premiered on August 3. The office coming-of-age romance follows rookie employee Nam Da-reum, who joins her longtime favorite idol’s company and finds herself in a love triangle with prickly CEO Kang Ha-gi and Lee Chan, her bias and the company’s fashion director. On August 29, tvN’s “Four Hands, Two Sonatas” premieres. The drama follows two piano prodigies whose shared passion for music fuels a story of rivalry and friendship. The pairing of Song Kang and Lee Jun-young has already sparked buzz ahead of the premiere. CJ ENM’s signature variety shows are also returning with new seasons this summer. “Fresh off the Sea” Season 3 premiered on July 30, combining seasonal meals with the cast’s lively daily adventures. Kim Sun-young, Kang You-seok and Noh Yoon-seo join Yum Jung-ah, bringing fresh dynamics to the show’s four-sibling chemistry. Mnet’s “Street World Fighter: Directors’ War” premiered on August 18, pitting top dance directors against one another in choreography, creative direction and stage production. With an expanded scale and even more spectacular stages, the competition delivers a high-energy finale to the summer season. Finding Her Footing in Work and Love: ‘My Bias, My Boss’ tvN’s “My Bias, My Boss,” which premiered on August 3, follows Nam Da-reum (Kim Hye-jun), a new hire on the marketing team at fashion platform APPELLO. She joins the company in hopes of meeting her longtime favorite idol, Lee Chan (Cha Woo-min), who is both a member of an idol group and APPELLO’s fashion director. There, she finds herself in a love triangle with Lee Chan and the company’s aloof CEO, Kang Ha-gi (Kang Hoon). The teaser opens with Da-reum changing jobs to join APPELLO in hopes of meeting Lee Chan, a member of D.N.X and her longtime bias. Her first encounter with the company’s perfectionist CEO, Kang Ha-gi, goes badly, while Lee Chan’s very presence sets her heart racing. Caught between the two, Da-reum finds her new office life filled with heart-fluttering moments from the start. Da-reum is soon mistaken for a corporate spy and swept into an unexpected incident. As Ha-gi begins to see her differently and Lee Chan becomes more open about his feelings for her, the dynamic among the three begins to shift. How will this unexpected love triangle unfold? Three Music Prodigies Find Their Harmony in ‘Four Hands, Two Sonatas’ Set at Korea Arts High School, tvN’s “Four Hands, Two Sonatas” follows gifted pianists Kang Bi-o (Song Kang) and Choi Jeong-yo (Lee Jun-young), whose contrasting personalities — one picture-perfect, the other free-spirited — shape their rivalry and friendship. They are brought together by the lovable violist Hong Jae-in (Jang Gyu-ri). Through music, the three navigate love, friendship, rivalry and personal growth. The teaser flashes back to 2016, showing Bi-o and Jeong-yo in camcorder footage. Bi-o smiles as Jeong-yo jokes around before lifting Bi-o’s hand in a playful wave, saying, “Hi.” The two share a piano and leave school side by side late at night, hinting at the friendship and rivalry that will shape their journey.  With Song Kang and Lee Jun-young starring as the two aspiring musicians, anticipation is already building for their youthful chemistry ahead of the August 29 premiere. A New Cast Brings Sibling Chemistry to ‘Fresh off the Sea’ Season 3 tvN’s signature feel-good unscripted series “Fresh off the Sea” Season 3 returned on July 30 with a refreshed four-member cast. Yum Jung-ah returns alongside Kim Sun-young, Kang You-seok and Noh Yoon-seo, whose different personalities create a lively, sibling-like dynamic. The season premiere opens with Yum Jung-ah meeting her new castmates. Kim Sun-young can barely contain her excitement, calling “Fresh off the Sea” an all-time favorite. Their first day together quickly delivers a twist: what looks like a simple poster shoot turns out to be a random draw to decide who will harvest sea squirts. Before they know it, Kang You-seok and Noh Yoon-seo are whisked onto a boat, jokingly vowing revenge on the production team. Preview clips have surpassed 60 million views, signaling strong early buzz. The first episode ranked No. 1 in its time slot, giving the season a strong start. “Fresh off the Sea” Season 3 airs on tvN, bringing viewers plenty of laughs and a welcome dose of comfort this summer. Choreographers Take the Director’s Chair in ‘Street World Fighter: Directors’ War’ Mnet’s original dance series returned on August 18 with “Street World Fighter: Directors’ War.” In a departure from previous seasons, leading choreographers step into the director’s chair and compete in a new role. The new format puts choreography, concept development and stage direction to the test, bringing each contestant’s creative vision to the forefront. Having reached the top as performers, the competitors now face a new challenge as directors. With an expanded scale and spectacular performances, “Street World Fighter: Directors’ War” aims to showcase the next level of dance competition.
