bibigo Homestyle Mandu Pork Dumplings and Pork & Kimchi Flavoured Dumplings are now available in New Zealand’s major supermarket chains, with CJ Foods aiming to expand its presence in Oceania Two flavors of CJ Foods bibigo homestyle dumplings launched in supermarkets in New Zealand CJ Foods is launching bibigo dumplings in New Zealand’s top supermarket chains, New World and PAK’nSAVE.  The upcoming products include bibigo Homestyle Mandu Pork Dumplings and Pork & Kimchi Flavoured Dumplings. The products feature a delectable Korean-style dumpling wrapper to hold the chunky ingredients while maintaining their juicy texture. Starting from August, both products are available in various Asian markets throughout Oceania. By early September, CJ Foods plans to expand to more locations across New Zealand, starting with New World and PAK’nSAVE in Auckland, the country’s largest city. New World and PAK’nSAVE are the leading supermarket chains in New Zealand, with 200 stores nationwide. Their widespread presence is expected to boost the visibility and accessibility of bibigo products. CJ Foods Protein Basak Chip launched in Australian Costco stores Costco in Australia is expanding its CJ Foods product portfolio this month with the addition of the Protein Basak Chip and bibigo Vegetable Spring Rolls. Notably, the Basak Chip is a high-protein snack made from rice flakes, the byproducts of CJ’s Hetbahn and bibigo processed rice manufacturing process. This product originated from CJ Foods’ internal venture project in 2022 and began its global market debut last December, entering distribution channels in the U.S., Malaysia and Hong Kong. As this product debuts in Australia, the new addition is meant to appeal to consumers who prioritize environmental and health-conscious snacks. CJ Foods has been strategically focusing on entering mainstream distribution channels and securing local production facilities in Oceania to expand its K-food market presence. After launching bibigo dumplings at Woolworths, Australia’s largest supermarket in May last year, CJ Foods introduced 14 products, including tteokbokki, seaweed snacks (known as gim in Korean) and sticky white rice, in the convenience store chain Ezymart in November. This year, the company added locally produced bibigo Sliced Mat Kimchi to its lineup as well as bibigo Kimchi & Pork Dumplings. Thanks to this rapid expansion, CJ Foods’ sales in Oceania grew by 51% year-on-year in the second quarter.
