TOUS les JOURS continues its U.S. expansion thanks to rapid market growth.
TOUS les JOURS, a French-Asian bakery café chain offering more than 300 different kinds of artisan pastries, has opened its newest store in Bronxville, New York — the brand’s 100th location in the U.S.
Operated by CJ Foodville, Korea’s leading food service company, TOUS les JOURS opened its first store in the U.S. in 2004 and has since established locations in 26 states, including California, New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. To continue delivering high-quality baked goods to consumers, TOUS les JOURS aims to open 1,000 stores across the U.S. by 2030.
Over the past five years, TOUS les JOURS has demonstrated high profitability per store, resulting in the rapid expansion of the brand and more stores opening nationwide in the U.S. The brand’s success continued after turning a profit in 2018, with five consecutive years of profit growth. This impressive growth continued into the first half of this year, with sales up 50% and operating profits up 250% year-on-year. To capitalize on this momentum, CJ Foodville plans to break ground on a bakery plant in the U.S. later this year.
Launched in Korea in 1997, TOUS les JOURS is a French-Asian bakery café chain offering Korean style breads and desserts in Korea. The chain has been leading the Korean bakery café market by developing and using specialized premium baking flour — created in collaboration with CJ CheilJedang and its extensive 60-year milling expertise. Additionally, bread is baked on-site three times a day at TOUS les JOURS stores, attesting to the high quality and freshness of its products.
