The hit Apple TV+ drama won awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Britt Lower) and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Tramell Tillman) Poster for “Severance,” produced by FIFTH SEASON CJ ENM’s global studio FIFTH SEASON marked a major milestone as “Severance” won eight awards in total at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, one of the most prestigious television awards in the U.S. At the awards ceremony held on September 14, “Severance” earned Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Britt Lower) and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series(Tramell Tillman) among other key categories. In addition, Adam Randall was honored with the award for Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series for “Slow Horses,” distributed by FIFTH SEASON, further underscoring the studio’s success. Earlier, at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards held over September 6-7, “Severance” secured six trophies, including Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series(Merritt Wever), as well as awards for Cinematography, Production Design, Sound Mixing, Music Composition and Title Design. Notably, the series received a total of 27 nominations this year, setting the record for the most nominations for a single show and drawing significant industry attention. “Severance” is a suspenseful drama that follows employees at a major corporation who undergo a procedure that permanently severs their work and personal identities. Shortly after the release of Season 1, the series has received widespread acclaim, winning two Creative Arts Emmy Awards and five Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards. Its second season continued the momentum, culminating with the finale entering the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 rankings. “In its second season, this trippy workplace drama deepens its mysteries and expands its emotional palette,” a New York Times review said, hailing “Severance” as one of the best TV shows of 2025. “It’s the most ambitious, batty and all-out pleasurable show on TV.” “CJ ENM’s global studio FIFTH SEASON, powered by creative and talented creators, delivers distinctive works that resonate with audiences,” said a CJ ENM representative. “Under our vision of becoming a Global IP Powerhouse, we will keep producing premium content that captivates audiences around the world.” FIFTH SEASON continues to expand its slate of high-end programming this year. Since its August release, “Chief of War” has earned critical acclaim with a 93% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, highlighting both its artistic merit and commercial appeal.
