CJ Olive Young, Korea’s leading beauty and health retailer, announced that sales of its “slow aging” products grew by more than 60% year-over-year in 2024. The number of products under the slow aging category also increased significantly, from approximately 16,500 in 2023 to over 22,000 in 2024—an increase of around 30%. As “well-aging” gains popularity as a lifestyle trend in Korea, Olive Young is actively curating and introducing skincare products that align with this concept. Beyond anti-aging concerns such as wrinkles and skin elasticity, Olive Young’s slow aging category also includes products targeting pores, skin tone, blemishes and post-acne marks—offering customers a broader and more inclusive product range. To build on this momentum, Olive Young will launch a month-long promotion throughout April under the theme “As Slow As Possible,” encouraging customers to find their own skincare routine to slow down skin aging. The promotion features special offers on slow aging products, including sheet masks, essences, creams and sunscreens. Starting April 1, customers who make purchases over KRW 60,000 (44 USD), regardless of product category, will receive a “Slow Aging Kit” on a first-come, first-served basis. The kit contains samples from up to 29 different products, offering a hands-on introduction to the slow aging category. From April 4 to April 27, Olive Young will also host a pop-up store at its Hongdae location, where visitors can experience top slow aging brands, including Anua, Biodance, Innisfree, and numbuzin.
