CJ CheilJedang has launched a new product: bibigo MANDU Light. Available in three new flavors – Original, Kimchi and Chicken Breast – the new bibigo MANDU Light range contains 25% fewer calories than the original version. The focus of the Light options is to provide the same delicious taste at a lower calorie count, and this has been achieved through lean pork and chicken breast meat fillings, as well as the inclusion of konjac noodles instead of glass noodles. Konjac powder, meanwhile, has been added to provide a satisfying chewy texture to the dumpling skin itself. From the release of bibigo MANDU Light, CJ CheilJedang plans to continue launching ‘Light’ products that prioritize lower calories, lower sodium levels and less saturated fat. CJ intends to meet their customers’ high taste expectations while, at the same time, pushing the convenience of pre-prepared meals further and increasing their wellness value. “We are seeing a growing demand from customers for diverse products that exceed expectations in taste, nutrition and health,” a CJ CheilJedang official said. “As such, it is the ideal time for us to release new frozen dumpling product lines to answer this demand. With our innovative new products like bibigo MANDU Light and our PlanTable vegan MANDU, CJ CheilJedang plans to persist on making exciting new contributions to drive market growth.”
